St. Helen's children swim 27,066 metres!

During school’s swimming week over 2,300 children from 120 primary schools were challenged to swim circuits of a pool, continuously for 4 minutes without touching the sides, pool floor or stopping.

The total distance swum during usual swimming lessons, was an amazing 445,152 metres or 276 miles. St. Helen’s were given a special mention as the school who entered the largest number of pupils. Between our children, in our school pool, the 212 pupils who participated swam an incredible distance of 27,066 metres (16.81 miles). Well done St. Helen’s!
