St. Helen's eco club are running a sunflower growing competition between the classes and senior members of staff. The seeds were planted and delivered to each class by members of the club.
Class teachers are using the sunflowers as an educational resource for awesome maths, science and art lessons. Results of the tallest sunflower will be announced in assembly on Fridays. On the 29th April, Turtle class were currently in the lead with 7cm. The competition will run throughout the summer term and hopefully we will have some flowers before the summer holidays.
